Many scanners can reset the ATF thermal degredation estimate. I used a Launch Creader Elite V2.0 to reset it

I'm not positive, but I would assume Techstream is just resetting the keep alive memory. Disconnecting the battery for a while may accomplish the same thing. If fluid level is good, the vehicle isn't in some kind if limp mode it is? Throttle behaves normally?

Stick with Victor Reinz, Beck Arnley, Mahle, Aisin or Denso and you can usually get re-boxed OEM parts for a massive discount from Rock Auto. Their parts catalog is an excellent resource as well

I'm sure you could make the Hayden cooler work with the 2 OEM ATF hoses in the engine bay and the OEM hard line assembly/seal that runs through the radiator support. It's a very clean setup and I would try to use them with any auxiliary cooler install personally. This part:

Thanks The radiator was replaced not long before I bought the truck and I just noticed they installed a Motorad thermostat. I guess I will be swapping to an OEM thermostat this weekend

To those monitoring engine coolant temps with scan tool, what temperatures are you seeing? I'm seeing coolant temps at a steady 208-212 degrees from a 2014 GX460. These readings are after I installed the OEM Lexus auxiliary trans cooler (thanks for the part #s Acrad) with the transmission...

That’s the thing, 5th gen 4Runner and GX460 don’t share the same frame P/N.

I will verify this at the first opportunity.

It’s the frame sub-assembly that has the different part number, that doesn’t include all of the model-specific bracketry.

4Runner shares the same wheelbase as the GX460, so it begs the question why don’t the frame assembly part numbers cross? What are the differences?

It also came with an auxiliary transmission oil cooler. But yeah not a raised stance or more off road oriented wheel/tire package
