New Product: ARB Old Man Emu Upper Control Arms

I have yet to read a 200 Series SPC UCA failure thread here. Squeaks? Yes, not failures. If that was the case, I would have chosen differently.

New Product: ARB Old Man Emu Upper Control Arms

From marketing/sales perspective, it's the "all-in-one" suspension package. I would have gone with this when I did my BP-51 to simplify ordering & warranty.

New Product: ARB Old Man Emu Upper Control Arms

Just saw this post by ARB on Facebook regarding new UCA product. I may give these a go if I can't get rid of the squeak in my SPC UCA. Any input? Please delete if already posted. I've been gone for weeks.

    Winter tires and driving

I ran the Blizzak LT last season, SF to Squaw Valley/Lake Tahoe (can I still use that name?). LT275/70r18 I wanted to try the Nokians as well, but I couldn't find any distributor. Unfortunately the winter was not as rough as previous year, so they didn't get put through the ringer. That said...

We’re moving into the area from the city! I’ll stop next time.

What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

Digging up an old reply, but I drove by what looked like your rig around 3p on Magnolia in Larkspur? Was looking good.

New ARB "BASE Rack" Roof Rack

I don’t know the regs but I’d like to see an option with a lockable metal strap That said, if you have a Front Runner or similar with the lockable metal, you could get the T-slot adapter and call it a day. Gary at Mudrak says he has a couple coming in and will give me his thoughts then.

New ARB "BASE Rack" Roof Rack

From my browsing of their accessories, and I promise this is my last commentary for the night: Compared to Front Runner, their attachments don't appear to be as securable. Jerry Cans are strapped down by ratchet straps, as is the propane tank holder. On the Front Runner, and others, you're able...

New ARB "BASE Rack" Roof Rack

Just sent an email to Gary at Mudrak. Going to wait to hear his take, but on paper, it looks: a) low, b) strong, c) light (aluminum), d) easy to add/move attachments, e) ARB, they've got the supply chain advantage over some (most) of the competition.

    tire recommendation

Also the Toyo AT3 is a lighter weight tire, iirc. Not important to everyone, but I appreciate it after a noticeably heavy tire (Kumho).

New ARB "BASE Rack" Roof Rack

Not that I have read. I’m going to guess it will be very competitive as they have a large dealer network and manufacturing in place. I’ll put off buying a Front Runner and see how this pans out. I like the lower profile a lot. Price and how it attaches to roof will be a big factor for me.

Always welcome competition. Looks promising due to the low profile and...it’s welded: https://arbusa.com/products/roof-racks/arb-base-rack/

200 Series Tire and Wheel Size Database

Toyo Open Country ATIII, a fairly aggressive tire, but I don't know how close in actual size they are to the Duratrecs. I removed the small "spoiler" plastic on the front (3-screws) and had to push the front wheel well plastic forward, and reset the screw to keep it that way. That has been a...
