    95 LC starter stays on

I should also note that the start up lights on the dash (Brake, oil/temp, etc.) remain on while the car is running as well

    95 LC starter stays on

the starter on my LC started acting strange today starting with it not starting on the first couple tries turning the key over and then after it started the starter would stay "on" and the motor of the starter remained on and running after the truck had turned on, even after I removed the key...

    7 pin mod attempt 2

It's actually this thread that had me doubting my work that lead to me putting the pin in position 8 to begin with, it was quickly fixed and is back to normal now as shown in the pic above, no damage has been done to pin 3 other than some slightly exposed wire, just exposed from the sheathing...

    7 pin mod attempt 2

first pic was wrong (before I double checked my work late last night), here is how I have it wired up, the CDL switch works fine, I can hear the CDL lock up when I push the switch in high

the black mess of e-tape is my doing until I get some heat wrap around a small amount of exposed wire on pin 2

    7 pin mod attempt 2

i'll get some pics up later today if I have time but the pin pattern shown above is exactly the same as a picture will show, I have done this mod once had the same issues, put it all back together w/ pin 7 reinstalled CDL worked as it should pre-7 pin mod. I researched and double checked that I...

    7 pin mod attempt 2

my LC is a 1995, open diffs, not trying to do anything with the diffs, just the center diff locker, it works with the CDL switch that I installed, when I go apply the 7 pin mod according to this pin out dashes -- being the connector lock, x being an open space on the bottom 1,2--3,4...

    7 pin mod attempt 2

this is the pin pattern I used, pin 7, as shown in this diagram is black w/blue tracer 1,2--3,4 5,6,7,X,9,10

    7 pin mod attempt 2

yes the CDL will not lock with the switch in high or low and the CDL will not lock in low regardless of the CDL switch position

    7 pin mod attempt 2

I have the right wire, positive of that, a pair of needle nose pliers is all you need to un-pin the wire

    7 pin mod attempt 2

"It" is the truck itself, the truck with pin 7 pulled will not engage the CDL in high or low and the CDL and ABS lights don't light up and the CDL itself doesn't engage, when I replaced pin 7 the CDL would engage when I pushed the CDL button in high and would engage and remain engaged regardless...

    7 pin mod attempt 2

So I tried to do the 7 pin mod again after further researching and making sure I had the proper pin to pull and followed this pin out for reference (top) 1,2--3,4 5,6,7,X,9,10 turns out I had the right pin the first time I tried but tried again anyways and got...

    How ghetto does this look??

With the jack and iron, no spare at least you can walk with your flat tire to a shop to get it fixed while your struck is stranded useless on the side of the road and walk back to your rig and reinstall. I have been stranded with a flat halfway up Aspen Mtn during the summer on a job in a...
