I had that happen as well. Turns out the screws need to be tightened a bit more. I couldn't use the supplied tool, so used a screwdriver with the correct attachment and tightened it as much as it would and the side to side issue stopped.

Any update on this? I am having pretty much the exact same issue. My AHC is in spec and most of the front as well as rear bushings have just been replaced. Mine is at 93k (KM) and is a 2004.

No luck. All connectors were fine. We redid everything from scratch as well, but it can still only control the temperature from the teyes, all other AC controls are not responsive. I'm guessing it's a software issue. If anyone knows the correct method to factory reset, please do let me know...
