Just an update for anyone with an LX needing a new steering rack. The Toyota rack (Non VGRS) has about 15k miles on it now and is still perfectly fine. Cannot tell a difference between the LC rack and the old LX rack. No VGRS lights or anything, VGRS still works and still self centers.

Alright finally pulled the intermediate shaft out and it’s in like perfect condition. Totally smooth in all joint directions, can’t find anything wrong with it. I’ve replaced the seal and will put it all back together. Not sure what is left at this point besides suspension things
