I just got PIAA silicone blades and I love them, although I don't have experience with how long they last. I hear they last extra long because they are silicone. Very quiet and leave the windshield streak-free dry.

I was cruising around the Seattle Craigslist one day and got a full set of factory rubber mats for $15. I think I got lucky, but if you're really trying to save some dough I bet you can find originals from Ebay or CL with a bit of time.

I keep the old belt around for good luck. The wear is all really consistent. Just got rid of the water pump, but it had just a very small bit of red residue at the weep hole.

FWIW, when I got mine it was 15 years old and had 223k miles on the original TB and water pump. There were small cracks in the belt, but nothing significant. That belt certainly looks a lot fresher than mine did.

I get the same thing on my 2000, I get whistling (mostly when the weather is cold, oddly). Both of mine are a bit malformed/warped. I'm curious as well.

I liked the 2x4 trick a lot. I ended up having to remove the cv twice because I didn't change the diff oil seal the first time and it leaked. Just a suggestion, but I definitely recommend doing it. The seal was worn, but I only was able to tell once I had it out the second time.

YES I actually just solved this issue about a week ago. If you just push the lock latch in on the top tailgate half (pretend the be the latch that it is hitting when you close it...) you can trick it into turning the light off. To open it you just pull the inside door handle and it pops open...
