I used a kit from Mitch at Swaptime to put Rostra cruise control on my swap. Very simple and I have a stalk on the steering column.

I did a similar swap with Torfab’s mounts and adapter using Mitch’s Swaptime wiring harness and front drive. I have a build thread called “No more big projects” where I parked a bunch of info for the swap.

Beautiful product! Sure would be cool if you could allow custom orders for those of us with engine/transmission swaps. I’d like one that has a M or S instead of the L, because that position is for Sport mode/manual mode with tap shifting.

Looking for armor for an 80 series- winch bumper, skid plates, link armor, etc. Doesn't need to be new or even nice. I've already got sliders figured out.

Bare steel wheels and dollies. It's nice to be able to push the vehicle on hard casters and move it side to side, too. You can pull the 40 in and then push it against the wall for even more room.

Yep. Mine failed around 3-400 miles, I think. Leaked around the bottom cap. Dealer gave me another one under warranty and it's been fine for a few thousand miles, including several hot days of wheeling at altitude and a 14 hour drive straight home.

For future reference, this thread is the WRONG way to do it. It involves buying TWO Metra 70-8112 plus a Scosche part and making a ton of connections. The correct way to do it is with one $8 kit from Metra and just extending the wires as seen in this thread: Cheaper and simpler way

It's been about ten years since I bypassed the head unit in my son's LX450 and copied this thread to extend a harness. Last year, I bought a 97 LC and was amazed to learn I could just plug into a different connector behind the radio! I just picked up another LX450 and had to re-learn all this...
