I’m looking for advice on lowering my 40 to get it in my garage for the winter. I have done it before by taking off the fiberglass top, airing down and adding sandbags. I do not want to take the top off just for storage every year so I have been looking at storage wheels that would lower it at least 4 inches. It has 30x9.5R15 tires and I was looking at buying the orange GUNI wheels (22.5” diameter) but their diameter compared to the 30” tire would only get me 3.75” lower.

I have been looking at Manutec CARASTOWWHEELs that are meant for lowering travel trailers for storage but they only sell them in Australia and I can’t find anyone willing to ship. They would be perfect because the diameter on these is a little less than 16” which should lower it 7”.

My last idea is to find a rough old set of LC wheels that I know fit and buy the cheapest, lowest profile tires that’ll fit them and see how many inches lower that works out to be. This might be the cheapest and classiest option.

Thank you

colin used to just pull in on 15" rims no tires. there is a set here you can use! I used to just air down my 33's and pull in then air back up.. PITA but easier than changing rims. doesn't sound like you have the room to have any rubber on there tho..

This is what I was going to suggest. Just put some plywood down or heavy rugs, otherwise you might slice into you floor finish.

You could also get some Go Jacks to use with bare 15’s. We have a set and they make moving a car easy without needing to drive it.
