So, the splines on the slip joints are the same, but the depth of the splines are different. Be very aware of that when you build your DS. If it bottoms out it will crack your tcase. Or, it can slip apart.

Not sure if this helps, but I used this plate from Redline on my desmogged 79 2F to cover the EGR port and re-add the PCV port where it belongs. Like yours, the PO had used a solid plate that deleted both.
