So it is time for the next overhaul of the 40. As it sits there are no real issues however there are allways things to improve. The big upgrade is EFI. I got a donor car on saturday for $600. It's a 93 Ford T-bird w/ a 5.0 in it.

The second big project is paint. The truck is a 71 so "Spring Green" will be its new color. I know it is hidiously pastell but that's why I like it.

Other than that I have some minor cage work to do which will include some tieins between the A and B pillars for a seat cradel.

Kool. Seems doable - kinda bummed about the trail closures, but am still planning on going just to show support and demonstrate there's a public need for these trails.

You'll love the EFI.

I plan to go to the GSMTR for part of the week. I probably won't stay the whole week like I usually do though.

Staying with the NP435 for now. As soon as the stock case blows up it is geting an Orion but not until then.

It should last a long time with as often as you've been wheelin lately :flipoff2:

He learned from Master....

Sorry Mike, couldn't pass up the slow pitch down the middle...Just kidding, Here's hoping you're swamped with work
Actually, I'm interested to see what you come up with for the cradle. I need to add that to mine, and have a few ideas for bending it around the late model tub, would like to see what you come up with

I have been a little busy lately, starting a buisness and all. You figure out the value of Vacation real quick once you enter the real world. College just makes you think that you have alot to do.

Any how I got the drivetrain out of the T-bird. So it looks like the 40 is next.

So I got the 40 mostly stripped. The next step is some more cleaning followed by alot of 3M Body Schutz and a fresh coat of paint.

While the truck is off for paint I have to get the engine wireing figured out and the tranny /t-case swapped over.

Ha! Seeing how much effort you put into the bodywork makes me feel better about the current condition of mine (new tub, bib, hood, tailgate and other parts on hold for after GSMTR)!!!

I used to run those very same tires - siped the same way, SOA, same shackle reversal - loved those TSL/SX's - friend I sold em too stopped rolling over and actually wheeled better with em :D.

You going to make it?

The Drivetrain goes in tomorrow an then I get to wire the truck from scratch Again.

And YES, the truck WILL be at GSMTR.

hah... that color is awesome!

Ah EFI is good. Now I just have to make it run. I should have the rest of the body parts back shortly so I can get the front of the truck back together.
