I have decided to go with an engine swap on the 55, so if someone would like to come and take the 1F off my hands (and out of my way), it's all yours.

It was running when I started tearing it apart. My dad (who owned it for the last 40 years before handing it down to me) thinks its in the 120k ballpark. Odometer quit at around 80,000 so it's a rough guesstimation.

Any questions...ask away.

I don't have a cherrypicker, so bring one along (or, we can just lift it out, can't be that heavy).

Here are a few pics. Thanks.

Please post pictures of lifting this out by hand. THAT I have to see. These are fxxxing heavy motors!

Best of luck with the transplant though!!

ugh...

What?? Natty light won't cut it.

I think natty light is the only beer on the planet that I won't drink. Don't worry, I love most other AB products. It's in my blood.

I'm thinking after a couple beers, we could lift that baby out with no problem!!!:beer::beer:

It's in mine too. 4 generations, on both sides of my family. Bigsal is right, my back started hurting, just reading about you picking the motor up.

I do know that an F engine AND a cherry picker will fit in the back of a 55...

edit: Oh, yes, they are that heavy...
