I'm posting this add for my buddy Swanny who is selling his 1972 pig, here are details:

This is a shot of the FJ. They are know for rust problems. I had the top professionally replaced with a solid top clip. There is rust on wheel wells and on the Tailgate. I purchased from a complete original window gasket set still unwrapped from a toyota guy who happens to work in a dealership. This is an impossibly hard thing to locate. This cost me 1400 dollars I also have new headliner. I purchased a new three core radiator. It has a rebuilt head which i have to install to get it running. It needs a new front windshield as that was broken in when the top was replaced.

I am asking 2400 for the FJ or $ 1500 for the vehicle with out the gasket set. If your neighbor is interested I can send more photo's. I sent along a photo of when we were doing the top clip to give you some idea of the magnitude of that job.

You can contact him at makeroom_2000@yahoo.com

Is this still for sale?

That is a most beautious PIG. Very tempting.

I hope Pighead gets it and saves me the divorce!

Is this still for sale?

I believe that it's still available, e-mail by buddy Swanny. His e-mail is on the original post. He also has a sweet Scrambler w/ a vortec and NV4500 Rubicon ready and tested (at least 3 trips) 4 sale.

I sent an e-mail on the 25th. Repeated today. Could you please inform your friend of my interest? I sent my phone# in today's e-mail.
Thanks.

Contact has been made, thank you. Things look good.

No. And I was here first.

Whoops. I guess I spoke too soon. Good luck Pighead.

I will now remove my foot from my mouth...

you buy it pighead? thats a cool looking bay area pig.

Picking it up sometime this week...

Slight delay, as the owner told me that he has just pulled the head, thinks the engine is froze...no big, I'm going to see it Monday, will post fresh pics. Have no fear.

It's been a few years since I saw it, but I remember it as the weirdest thing I've seen. The cruiser body was almost perfect from a distance and the interior will blow you away. The weird thing is that the cruiser must have sat for years in the snow as the rust was pretty was on the top (since replaced) and around the body, from what I recall it wasn't too bad. For the price, you got yourself a great deal.

As long as the rust is confined to the tailgate & doors (which I do have spares) I'm not worried. An engine & tranny swap to a 2F/4 speed is not out of the question.
As long as the body mounts/rear sill are solid, it's a done deal. That's really all I need to see on Monday...It'd be nice if it ran enough to get itself on the trailer. And up my driveway, but there's ways around that.
