Would like to see what options for Radios are out there. I know that Toyota had a very large veriety. Also there are some new shaft radios out there that may work well...lets see those...

Awesome thread JohnnyC.

Been looking for a 2 shaft radio with MP3 capability to allow me to remove some gizmos and suction caps from the 40. At the moment I'm using an Alpine CD tuner with an Ipod touch suction capped to the dash with an FM sender. Not ideal.

I found this one on Amazon which doesn't have a digital display at a good price.

Simple retro manual AM/FM tuning so less to go wrong. Folks were biatching about the display on the Pyle PLR22MPF crapping out on them, and I'd say this one solves that particular problem.

I'd mod it with retro black and chrome knobs off an old car radio from the wreckers (assuming they'd fit) as well as re-do the face plate so it looks a little more stock-ish.

No one is going to steal a car audio system which doesn't have a digital readout, so it might be perfect for those of us who run soft tops/no tops.

I was asked to post these pictures of a radio I recently purchased from a 1967 fj40.
Here they are:
