July 2026: Here is a full aftermarket A/C kit for Left hand Drive 70-series vehicles. It was purchased from a long time well-respected member here who used to provide these kits, but I never installed it and would like it to be available for others to have this summer. It is still in the boxes and has been stored indoors the past few years.
Since I have never installed it, I cannot answer any specific questions about doing so. I do not think it will work with Right-Hand-drive vehicles as some of the components are made for the LHD configuration.
There are several threads on the 70-series forum about installing these kits and I have a link below of one so you can get an idea of what is involved to get nice chilly cold air in your rig. The install seems straightforward. Apparently nobody is producing these kits any more so here is your opportunity. I am not looking to make a profit on it, this is what they used to cost. I am willing to ship it, but only to the lower 48 US states. It is too big and heavy to ship overseas and customs fees, tariffs and such are too uncertain. The box is big and heavy and I would guess the shipping would be between $80 and $140 - you will pay what it costs me to pack and ship it. Or if you are local to the region you can take a road trip to Maine, its nice here in summer. My number is (lookup the area code for Maine) 239 7762. Thanks, spread the word to any 70-series owners you know who moan about hot their rig is.
