I had my 1982 BJ40 engine rebuilt and in the process I bought a spare engine from Roma042987 several years back to get the camshaft. The motor was running when he shipped it to me, but it had a blown head gasket. Unfortunately, the camshaft didn’t fit, but that’s good news for you because this motor is still sitting at my mechanic’s shop in Williamsburg, VA. I can’t make any promises about the condition that it is in because I’m not sure if the machinist put the camshaft back in it and reassembled it when he realized it wouldn’t fit. But, you can’t beat the price!
