1997 Lexus LX450
312k miles - Not factory locked.
30k - Grand Junction, Colorado
Regretfully letting go of my LX. Life change has left me without a garage, significant travel for the foreseeable future, and just not using the Cruiser as intended. I searched awhile for a Cruiser of this example, it is as clean as the photos represent. Paint is clean and glossy as show-room, coated and freshly waxed. Frame has had no treatment, you can see my wipe with a damp towel to represent the cleanliness.
Several inch thick folder full of receipts, also original sticker, first aid kit, brochure included.
Ton of maintenance and necessary age related updates over the past few years to ensure she’s goes the distance. All Toyota OEM, always.
OME 2.5" lift (coils, shocks, steering dampener)
BFG 285/75/16's on rare factory chrome wheels, chrome is starting to wear a bit. Full size spare with the WitsEnd "lift kit" to tuck it up into the frame
ARB Bull Bar - finished with two stage basecoat/clearcoat using Spies Hecker paint from Germany - Color matched to the factory cladding
Warn Winch w/ remote.
No lockers, OEM switch for future clean integration, however I just have no use for lockers personally.
Interior completely redone in hand stitched Connolly leather, not a kit. New steering wheel leather included. Typical dash mat cracks, was on the list..
Factory style Lloyds mats including back/3rd row mat. Newer OEM matched carpet.
Slee Headlight upgrade with Hella 500 bumper mounted lights off of a factory switch.
Slee skid plates
Factory Hand throttle
Sound system upgrade by La Jolla Audio includes Apple car play, full interior speaker replacements with Sub added, hands free calls and backup camera and color matched speaker grills.
Maintenance highlights-
New OEM head from Toyota, not a remanufacture with all gaskets and “while you’re in there” parts.
Lots of various seals/gaskets including: valve cover gasket, spark plug tube seals, rear main, oil pan, etc.
Driveshaft - Steering/Front End Components
OEM Exhaust - Catalytic Converter - Manifold/Gaskets
Brake Booster System
Cooling system - All hoses - Radiator (with the appropriate foam backing) - Thermostat - Water pump
Starter - Battery - Plugs - Distributor - Alternator
Lots of various hoses/rubbers including: the pesky heater hose, heater hoses, power steering hoses, various small and large vacuum hoses, PCV valve.
Mats have a few stains, few minor surface scratches around, rear tailgate “buffer” marks. There’s always something to be done on these old Cruisers but I believe this one is at an extremely good starting point to confidently start enjoying as-is.
