Selling my HZJ73 because I need something more practical. I've owned it for almost two years and it's been my daily driver.
Current odometer reads 253k kilometers (157k miles)
Imported from Japan about seven years ago by a gentleman in the military.
Desirable 4.2L 1HZ diesel engine, automatic transmission, right-hand drive.
Recent maintenance:
New ceramic tint including windshield (Dec 2025)
New batteries (Dec 2025)
New OEM 70 Series Land Cruiser roof rack (July 2025)
New brake booster (July 2025)
Complete fluid service at 246,000 km (153,000 miles):
Engine oil and filter
Fuel filter
Power steering fluid
Front and rear differential fluid
Transfer case fluid
Transmission fluid
Brake fluid
New tie rods (Nov 2024)
Timing belt replaced at 239,000 km
The truck is very clean overall and nearly all original. Always garaged and well maintained. It starts easily, drives well, and passed emissions with flying colors.
As expected for a 32-year-old vehicle, it isn't perfect. The biggest item to note is a small pinhole leak in the radiator. I top off coolant roughly once a month. The paint and body are in good condition overall but have normal age-related imperfections consistent with a vehicle of this age.
It comes with the original 24V 12,000lb winch and controller, and also includes a tote of spare parts, including a new OEM power antenna, extra belts, sliding window seals, interior trim panels, and other miscellaneous items.
It’s a slow truck by modern standards, but it cruises comfortably at highway speeds up to 65-70mph.
Next year it qualifies for Colorado collector registration, which only requires registration renewal and emissions testing every five years.
