Dual Battery using Wrangler NW Kit (1 Viewer)

I know there are many options for dual battery but i have used Wrangler NW for a dual kit in my Suburban, F250. So it was natural to go to them for the LC80 Kit.

Ordered all OEM battery tray, clamps from older LC80. Order ed marine terminals to complement installation. I ran the dual cable along the firewall, high and away from any heat.

Moded the orginal switch to fits a Toyota switch blank.

Did you run the switch power from the primary battery or the secondary battery?

IIRC - It goes to second battery at the Isolation Relay.

I've seen some folks use the primary battery to power their solenoid switch

This basically means if the primary battery dies for whatever reason, there wouldn't be any power to switch the solenoid

You so right, the whole idea of the switch is to engage the secondary..so dead primary = no power.

Im running a similar set up as well but would like to use a factory Toyota switch in the dash vs a toggle and led. Which switch would be best?

the rear heater switch is a good possibility. You need a on/off/on maintained switch.

This sounds like a good idea.. post up if you do this. I remember seeing a thread on how to change the label on the factory switches
