Sunroof replacement

I just bought an 80 series, and it's a great truck except that the sunroof had a leak in it at one time obviously, and it rusted the frame around the sunroof. How does one go about pulling the sunroof to replace with one from a wrecker? Thanks in advance guys

One doesn't replace a leaking sunroof with one from a wrecker
Get a new one. They aren't that expensive. Plus, you'll get a new gasket around the glass, which is probably why the old one leaked. BTW, they are stupid easy to replace.

I dunno about that...

IIRC, CDan said at one time that it was all one unit, and relatively expensive.




EDIT: yep - gasket comes with the glass, and ain't cheap, imo...

Yep, glass and gasket, 1 piece. But if the frame surrounding is also rusted, that's a whole different problem than just a dried out sunroof gasket.

To be exact a 63201-60012 was $282.47 that was 10/06 Due to its size there was a $45.00 freight charge.
