Got bored, so I bedlined the bumpers and grille....

I had been putting it off until I got around to building the tire/cooler swingouts and ghetto damage multiplier, but I just couldn't stand seeing the missmatched 4-Runner colors anymore

Looks nice - especially the blacked out grill. What kind of liner is that?

I picked up a can of Dupli-color from Fred Meyer just to see how it looks. I'd tried the stuff from Walmart (forget brand) and didn't care for it.

I actually really like the Dupli-color, and after seeing your setup it's probably what I'll go with.

What'd you do for prepping it?

Nice work! I did the same thing to my 100 side moldings and rear bumper cover a few months ago. So far it's holding up nicely with the Dupli-Color.

It's good stuff :)

Covers nicely and sprays evenly

For prep, I went over everything with a DA and 400 dry, then just wiped it down with prepsol...

This looks like something I might consider doing. It will be a long time before I will be able to get some trail worthy bumpers. The PO had a a little fender bender in the rear and whoever repainted it did a poor job because now it is peeling back in some spots. I like how your rig turned out.

In a Larry The Cable Guy voice, "Lookin' goooood!"

Good work!

For a future project take off the headlight and side marker trim, and paint them to match. Not very hard to do, and it will complete the look.

I have some pics of what I did... but they are at home. I'll try to post them tonight.

I was hoping someone that did this would chime in :)

I was worried about cracking the trim, so I didn't attempt to take them off

Gunna yank all of the spotlight covers and line them as well cause they're a little too glossy for my taste :o

Looks good! Consider doing the side mirrors too.

The chrome trim or the rubber trim on the marker?

I peeled the rubber marker trim off and used some super glue to put it back when the paint was dry. It was tricky getting the headlights out because of my ARB. Then I realized that if you take out the blinker on the valance you get all kinds of room to swing a wrench!

I really like the grill. I am planning on painting my rims and and grille when I get a chance might have to pick up some of the dupli-color to do the grille though... nice job:beer:

Looks very good.

I almost forgot....

It is hard to get a comprehensive shot because of the ARB, but I think you can get an idea of the anti-bling :D

How about a shot with all of the front from 1/4 view?
