I need 16x8" rims. I'm looking for alloy. (Not Steel) Trying to save on weight. I have read through the previous post on this subject to no Avail.

I need to know what "brand" rim with what "backspacing" that is "alloy" without using "Spacers" that will work on a FJ60. Not looking for "should work"; looking for people that are actually running the exact rims that they are recommending on their FJs.

I will be running 285/75r16s. Already Bought, so I don't need suggestions running different tire size.

Just looking for a straight answer. Been scouring for one long enough. A bit Aggravated at this point. :)

Thanks for any help.

yeah..that's the magic question. I've been watching a few threads myself.

Turns out that's a tall order! It's amazing how it seems like there are thousands of off the shelf wheel options but when you narrow it down to a few spec's there are so few.

I like the aesthetics of the ProComp's and/or Mickey Thompsons. Neither of these will fit off the shelf without spacers but maybe they will do a custom backspacing for you if you call?

But! This is the only 16x8, alloy, matt black, 6x5.5 bolt pattern wheel with the right backspacing I found on the quick. On paper it would fit:

I'm running Eagle Alloys Series 100 rims on my 60. They have the proper backspacing at 3.625 and I don't use spacers. They fit perfectly and I haven't had any issues with rubbing. I have slightly narrower tires mounted than what you have (265/75R16) and the tires are pretty close to flush with the wheel wells. I'm happy with them and think it was a worthwhile upgrade from the factory steelies. I spent a lot of time staring at this thread before deciding to go with them.

I got mine from Amazon, but they don't seem to have them anymore. Summit has them.

Have any pix of these on your rig? would love to see how they look.

Not any good ones. The black just disappears into the wheel wells without good lighting. I'll take some this weekend and post them.

Mine are in my signature, fit perfect summit racing sells them $136.00 each, flat black aluminum, can't remember the backpacking if you want pictures or bs dimensions let me know.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing (getting 16's, not wanting to run any spacers) as I keep hearing how the 15 tire options are quickly disappearing. The cost of tires for a 15" rim are noticeable cheaper...same for rims. are there other reasons people look to go to a 16" rim?

This is one that I'm thinking about. Right b.s. so no need for spacers. $105/rim not too bad either.

I don't know if those are an option. Should match up with the #s below. I don't see em in these specs, unless I just can't find a set on the sites I'm browsing.

16x8
Bolt Pattern 6X5.5 (6x139.7mm)
3.625 Backspacing
Center bore 108mm

Let me know where you find em if the specs match up.
Thanks

ATTENTION

There is a set of 4 Mickey Thompson Classic IIs (Last ones) available at national tire. I was gonna grab em since they are discontinued but they are polished aluminum and not black  and I'm hard headed about having black wheels. You'll have to call em if ya want them. $100 Each.

Your specs are correct, no issues at all when I installed them and best of all no spacers to worry about.

*** Raceline Rockcrushers
16"x8" 3.625" backspace
Summit Racing $136 each

Here are mine. 265/75R16, minor lift from an AAL installed many years ago. Aside from having the correct backspacing, one of the things that attracted me to these wheels was the lack of clearance issues with the brake calipers and steering linkages that others have reported with many of the steel wheels that are available.

Edit: Eagle Alloy Series 100 16x8, back spacing, 3.625", bolt pattern 6x5.5, purchased from Amazon (free shipping!) ~ Sept 2013.

it would be great for those of us who don't know the wheels by the pictures...if people would post details on the wheels in question along with the pics....or even go crazy and go back and edit the posts to include the details... Wheel brand, specific size, specific back spacing, specific model...etc.

Just a note.. I know it would help me.

Its like many things....the "devil" is in the details.... I think it would be helpful to many people who are looking for aftermarket wheels etc.

Please consider this...

I don't have any good pictures right now but I put allied rock crushers on, 16x8 with 3.625 back spacing. no fitment issues at all and I think are a nice black wheel. got them from summit racing $127 each I believe.
