Should this be a sealed bearing? Came in Toyota box with one side of bearings exposed. If this is correct then should I filled the Crankshaft location with grease and face the bearing that way?

I believe it should be sealed, mine was.

From the factory they are shielded. I did a thread on replacing the shielded bearing with a sealed bearing. If you stay with the shielded bearing the shield would face out towards the clutch. Do not fill the bore in the crank for the pilot bearing with grease. As stated above, it could force the pilot bearing from its correct position.
