I just wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone here. I am new to this forum and to 4X4 's and will have a lot of questions as time goes on. I joined another forum and those guys are very nice but it looks like this forum has more of what i'm looking for with regards to specifics on restoration, upgrades and parts availability.

I bought this Landcruiser 2 days ago. It was sitting in a barn that belongs to one of my customers. We chatted about it for a while and now he will be delivering it to me next week.

I have alot of work ahead.

I would also like to get whatever info there is on getting a US title for it. I have no idea what it has now.

Thanks for the help.

Sorry about the photo size.

WOW!! Holy picture size batman....

Fluffy bunny?.....c ome on....that's not really yer name is it? :princess:

Nice find and welcome

You found a land cruiser diesel pickup in S. Texas? You're a good finder. PM me if you wanna sell it.

:D:

UHHhhhh, Whats the owners name and number? ;)

I'm trying to say this as nice as possible........ YOU LUCKY BASTAD:flipoff2:

Welcome to the sickness:rolleyes:

Nice find. Regarding the title just send the bill of sale and any other paper work to me. It would be much easier and quicker if you just put all the paper work in my name. You will have to get the vehicle to me or let me know where I can pick it up as the DMV will need to verify the vehicle ID. I will get back to you when the title gets cleared up.

Ouch, lots of work involved, you should leave this to the pros.

:flipoff2: Welcome!

If this is real, that is way too cool.

Of course, is there any possible way to bait us anymore than a "barn-found-diesel-45LWB-with-a-perfectly-straight-body-and-good-original-paint"?

Hey, thats my old 45!!! I remember painting the bezel, even have pics. It was stolen back in '87. I'll even proove it... If the vin starts with FJ45...... then thats the one. Do you want to call the cops or should I? Thankyou so much for finding it. :grinpimp:

Can you tell alot of people want it?

Naw..i'm not pulling anyones leg. I have known about this truck for about 5 years now but the guy never wanted to get rid of it. I installed his new A/C unit this summer and still saw it sitting there. At first i just thought it was a FJ40 (friend had one in high school) but when i actually went to look at it, it was the truck.

I went back a week ago to work on another A/C system he has and asked him about it. He said he bought it new in Honduras in 1977 (family had a ranch down there) and used it everyday. "Very reliable" were his words. He actually said that he parked it because he lost the key to the gas cap and didnt want to butcher it up to get it open. He still swears that with some diesel and a truck to pull it... that it would fire right up.

He parked it in 1991 and it's sat there ever since. I know there are not alot of these around and honestly this is the 1st one i have ever seen.

Ok...now are yall ready for the really kewl part?

I bought it for $800.00 :cheers::flipoff2::flipoff2:

What part of S. Texas are you in? I'm in Corpus and just finished reworking my '79 FJ40. I would love to take a gander at it and give you a hand if you need it. Just let me know.

Im in George West... just north of ya about 50 miles. He will be delivering the truck early next week (Hurricane permitting) and your more than welcome to come take a look at it. I will need alot of advice on how to proceed once i get it and any help will be appreciated.

You can get ahold of me thru yahoo messanger (cody_748) or drop me an email @ cody@grifcoac.com
