yep here downunder there is also a running turbo 2f

ive wanted to do one for about 2 years have had some parts aqquired for ages but just never got around to it

anyway i killed the head so it was off the road for around 8 weeks while i hunted for parts and turboed it in the process

its a 100% custom turbo manifold made from 1.25" buttweld bends 4x45's and 10x90's if i remember correctly its definatly not made for show or flow its just made cause it was easy and fitted (just)

ill be taking the turbo off to fit new studs to it in a few weeks so ill post pics of the manifold then

so pretty much its a r32/33 skyline turbo (oil cooled only) a impco 200 lpg(propane) mixer im changing this to a impco225 once i get more silicon bends too hookup the intercooler

the intake is a stock 84 inlet with a gas research throttlebody adapter (Gas Research) a ed falcon throttle body 4l

more pics
from top to bottom description

1 boost gauge and air/fuel gauge

2 overshot of engine bay damn messy but oil line will be shortened lots but ill do it once its all finished off and

3 turbo up close shows oil inlet on the turbo and yes i know there are bolts missing im waiting for stainless studs and nuts to arrive for both the turbo flange and wastegate

4 oil line and t piece of the oil filter housing works fine and ive still got great oil pressure to the engine

5 theres a intercooler wedged in there waiting on silicon bends and reducers to hook it up

6 front on shot cant really tell much but shows 1 good thing with a aussie rhd cruiser is no steering shaft/box on that side to worry about

I like it, make sure to keep up progress pics, and of the whole rig.

i know i posted some shots of it when i got it but i think they where in the 45 lovers section LOL

this was my daily driver untill i brought a motorbike and decided to do a few mods
next on the list is a 5 speed and clutch then im fitting a pair of lsd 60 diffs under it for a bit more width

in between got some rust in the front floor to replace and some in the side roof panels

You do this after "convincing me" to go a ford Inline 6 in my 40. not fair...

last i heard, this was "trialled" at 20 PSI, and the mixer still delivered enough gas to stop any detonation.

did you use ARP head studs? double gasket to drop compression? any internal mods to the motor?

lol yep but turbo ford 250 would kick even more ass

yeah ive ran it at 20psi and it hauls but at that much boost im gonan destroy something so im backing it down to 8-10psi

stock engine been recoed at some stage with 50 over pistons, and the head has double valve springs and inserts for lpg but it all looks stock apart from that
hell im even using the points dizzy LOL

just got all the bends to hookup the intercooler and also my procomp multispark cdi unit is on its way to give it a bigger fatter spark

and the boost controller should showup tomorro WOOHOO

still after a few more bits and am gonna get the radiator recoed and still have a muffler to fit to the zorst 2.25" straight through is just a bit loud LOL

2.25 inch exaust? you want to strangle it? throw a 3 inch straight through on you pansy!!!!

2.25 is the size of the turbo outlet so i dont see a point in making it any larger and with only a hotdog or straight through muffler it aint gonna strangle it

at the moment im only running about 50cm of exhaust and while its loud its nowhere near as bad as any na vehicle straight out the extractors

finally got my silicon bends and clamps so ive nealy got it all hooked up and intercooled

if it wasnt 40 degC outside it would be finished but its just too damn hot to be workin outside

still waiting for boost controller and multispark unit

then i need a new clutch LOL arr the pleasures of power

and its pretty much finished apart from a bigger intercooler thats sitting in adelaide but im not too fussed

and it needs a dyno tune

have driven it about 300kays and imo the turbo is too small but thats a easy fix

engine seems happy at 10psi no pinging and acording to a narrowband air/fuel gauge its only leaning under deacelleration and i guess thats normal

fuel consumption is terrible around town if ya thrashing it try 60l per 100kays ROTFLMAO

that's twice as bad as my 2f used to get, and that was with a crap mixer, and me driving!!!!

the bigger intercooler he mentions is a great conversation piece in my loungeroom at the moment.

yeah but thats the cost of FUN :)

now WHERES MY INTERCOOLER just drive the 800kays to melbourne so you can deliver it ill let you drive the turbo troopy

ill take some new pics tomorrow its a bit neater these days and nealy looks like the person installing it knew what they where doing LOL

love to see more pics :)

went for a bit of a play today however since it rained for about 5 hours last night everywhere was sooo slippery it was silly

had soem serious carnage a patrol slid sideways into a tree taking out the drivers door and the sill

another patrol killed the clutch or something clutch related

a 60 series cruiser snapped the mounts on his pto winch

and i broke something inside my pto winch head GRRR

heres a few pics no action shots tho
