Hey guys,

Me and my Dad are headed out to Moab, UT for my UTV Rally April 21-24th from Knoxville, TN, so wish us luck. It's roughly 1800 miles that we'll add to the existing 215,000 I have on the LX, so it will be a a true testament to Lexus if we make it there and back in one piece. :) I didn't get near the things done I wanted with only partial sliders(pretty much useless, and partial front and rear bumpers. But, we'll be rolling out here in a few on 37 Cooper STT's, a fully loaded truck, and a new RZR 4 and lots of tools. Here's some pics:

Subscribe for all the pics and vids from the trip. If all goes well, we might hang around a check out Cruise Moab, as well.

Were you involved in a drive-by that I don't know about? The body panels have so many holes in them! Just kidding man, looks good. You have come a long way in a very short time with this truck. This will be a true test of the new rear bumper hauling that load. I'm guessing the tool box on the trailer is full of tools too, which has got to help your tongue weight. Can't wait to hear all about it. And of course we want pics. Wish I was going with you again this year, but you can plan on it next year for sure. If you see the folks we wheeled with last year from wyoming tell em I said hey.

Safe travels.

We're cruising along just fine so far but hills suck. We're able to go 65-75 for the most part, though.

Chris

Saw you rolling down the hwy in Roane county or so this (Tuesday) evening maybe 6PM.

Good looking rig, hope it continues to go well, 80's notice a trailer as soon as you hit a hill.

Headed out to Moab the end of the month for Cruise Moab....unfortunately I didn't have the time off to drive it out, so I had to have it trailered.

Good Luck, looks like a whole bunch of fun!!!

Nice, yaull have a good time Chris. I expect to see some pics from along the way too and better get a box or something over that ac dryer.

When will you get to Moab? We might take a detour up to Idaho falls and come back through Moab for cruise Moab, but I'm still on the waiting list. I would love to ride with a bunch of cruiser guys though.

yeah as you can tell my build didn't get anywhere near done, but I'm not worried about it. It's going to be a blast.

I am flying into Denver Tuesday 4/27 and driving to Moab on Wednesday 4/28. I am camping at BFE Wed, Thur, and Friday.

Be cool to have some more East TN cruiser folks in town!

We're trucking along...about 70 miles south of St. Louis. It does pretty good between 65-70 mph. Weather is beautiful, but my allergies are killing me. :)

Just past Abilene KS and doing okay. The LX unfortunately is burning some serious oil, though. It's not blowing smoke out the tailpipe, but the overflow for the coolant is black. We're not overheating at all nor is the coolant pressurizing like a blown head gasket. It's weird...anyone have any ideas on what to check?

Hey guys,

I'll be posting some pics from our ride last night, but here's all the UTV's that were on the ride with us: Pre-Run Pics & Vids...

I'll post up the LX pics in a few minutes...I also got a little bit of video, as well.

Chris

Here's some pics of the LX 450 on Steel Bender. It's mostly a moderate trail with one waterfall climb that makes it a heavy moderate for the UTV's. For the LX, I'd say it was a moderate at best. I'm very impressed with the setup so far, but wish I had a little more protection by way of full front and rear bumpers and sliders, but so far so good. We didn't get a ton of pics and vids, mainly because it got dark for most of the trail, which always makes it fun.

Yeah, yeah, I'm hearing that a lot lately from a certain someone. :) I'll just run everything with the full body, instead for now. :)
