Has anyone taken young kids to Cruise Moab before? How do they do, and how does the crowd feel about having them there? I've got a 4 year old who loves wheeling and wants to come with me this year.

Plenty of kids always. Usually plenty of time to get them out of the rig during runs, just might be less on the more technical/difficult runs. Almost always something to do, and the pool is a welcome sight. My daughter has been 2 years in a row now (she's almost 4), and my son will be 1 when we are there this year. I couldn't see going without them myself.

We are sad to report that after 4+ years, TallowPot products will no longer be providing quality aftermarket knick-knacks to the IH8MUD community (among others!).

The four year old would be fine. We thought we were brave bringing a 6 month old last year. Nope, a few people had us beat hands down!
I think it's an amazing family event. We met lots of nice families and my some who was two at the time has talked about returning all year!

Thanks, good to know! We're planning on bringing our kids, the boys will be almost 4 and 1.
Anyone hear from Slickrock Campground yet? I made an online reservation last Thursday but received no receipt; called again today but no response yet.
I made my reservation online and it took a couple days for them to respond. They didn't give me a spot number though. I'm sure that will be coming when we get closer to May.

Last year when I booked during the winter, they forgot about me. They don't have a true online reservation system. So if you haven't heard from them, I'd drop them an email asking them status. When you are actually booked, you will recevie an email confirmation and a mailing.
I booked a cabin this year. Quieter, climate control, and I won't ahve to bring as much crap. Last year there was a strong wind blowing west to east, and I burnt through a tank of gas between Glenwood Springs and Moab with a popup in tow!

Which cabin are you guys in? We are in 8, it was a blast running some trails with you last year, what are you running this year?
Our line up -
Porcupine
Hells Revenge
Cliffhanger
We're in the cabin with the two kids who are nuts.
1st choices are:
Fins n Things (I think Sabrina's drivin', so it could be rather dangerous)
Hells Revenge (we'll see ya there!)
Golden Spike (I'm flying solo on this one)
