I have added a york to my 40, but am experiencing significant oil blowby. I was looking to do the blow by fix, but have been told it will cause my compressor to sieze. :'( Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks for your input.

I built my York system about one year ago. I followed Pinhead's article on how to plug the oil port and help cut down on blow by. The only problem I have had came from putting the seal in backwards :-( . Gear oil blowing out the front of the compressor sure can make a mess of the engine compartment. I use my compressor all of the time and have not had any problems with it getting too hot or siezing up. Just make sure that you put oil in the bottom of the unit and check it often.
