Hey Folks,

I'm researching my next build and I'm planning on a 2.8 Durax that is tuned to 220hp / 440tq. With that level of torque, I seem to not be able to find any specs on max torque of land cruise transfer cases. I was think of going with a FJ62 case converted to FJ60 shifters.

What do y'all think?

Thanks.

H1FA for part time if you need to use a land cruiser offset. You will ruin a std split case with that much energy.
Pay the money and buy a new one from mid east/japan via amayama
36120-60351 about $2,000 shipped from Japan these days with weakness of yen.

Go for it. Those numbers won't hurt a split case. Is that a Duramax 2.8 you are looking at?

38mm 62 (US, behind auto) t case has 1.99:1 gear set.
38mm 60 series (US) has 2.28:1 gear set
34mm 60 series 2.31:1
most of the 38mm I have taken apart behind H55's are 1.99:1.
Hf1A has 2.488:1 gear set
