ok i thought i exceeded my upload limit, and so i started erasing pictures so i can post more, but turns out my star expired, so i erased a TON of pictures from the original thread. if you wanna see the pics, i have them stored on the 'puter, but it would take FOREVER to re attatch all the pictures in the correct order and all that jazz. maybe woody can help with it.

sorry!!!!

well, i have a post goin on over on pirates as well, but i figures to my self, "self, you need to put a post over here too, cause a lot more cruiser heads check this out then just pirate..." so im doin it.

heres where it stands.....

its a 72 FJ40, i picked it up about 4 weeks ago... it runs! has a 2f with a header, 2 barrell holley, and GM HEI.....so enough with that, heres the pics...

tonite i cut the floor out, and layed it in there..... im looking forward to the eleventysix million holes im going to have to drill so i can rosette weld them to the lip i saved, plus the crossmember.

the transmission tunnell is not done, just clearanced enough so i could lay it down flat....plus the gas tank ressesion is not in the passenger floor board either, so thats gonna go on this weekend....

unfortunately, im might not be able to touch it, since my chick is getting her right ovary and falopean (sp?) tube removed, due to a tennis ball sized syst growin in there......SUPER suck.....stay tuned

That's sure a scary looking bumper.

Man not bad. My 72 parts cruiser is UGLY... hehe

well, i guess i gotta talk about the chick first....she got the syst removed with out having her bits and pieces removed....but she is sore as a mutha....oh well....

lets me work on the pig in the garage while she's on the couch..lol

i got the tank ressesion almost all done....its all welded up, but i need to grind some boogers down, plus smooth it a bit, so the tank wont be punctured......

Are you sure you want Boggers? I've never run them, but everybody I've known that has had them said that they're great for their intended purpose - going straight in mud. Most of them have all switched to grooved TSL SX's.

That said, I would go for the 37x13s. I think the 38.5x11s look funny unless they're doubled up on the back of a dually. 14.5 - 15" is really wide if you're keeping the stock axles and want to keep the rubber out of the springs, wheelwells, etc.

And BTW, excellent work with the sheetmetal. I did mine piece by piece and after seeing how you did yours, that would have saved me a ton of time and looked better.
