How does this rig run down the highway? And would you say the whining is the tires or a shake in the suspension?

I'm in the market for a DD that will run down the highway and roll right onto the trail.
This is a great looking truck! Cheers and GLWS

No issues on the highway at all, my commute is about 20 miles each way and 15 of those are on the interstate at 75+ mph. No shakes in the suspension, not sure where the whine is from, I doubt tires because it only does it under load, as soon as I let go of the gas it stops. Ive read it may be U-joints need to be greased or maybe the birfs need more grease, im just starting the PM on it so I may solve the issue but want to be truthful

pictures I took at work this morning, won't lie that I love the way this thing looks, if I keep it I plan on getting an ARB bumper but I sort of like the stock clean look too...

sure I can take some interior pics, the seats are in excellent condition, dash is excellent condition, i have 2 sets of door cards so those are in great condition. It is missing floor mats and the carpet could use a good cleaning as it looks like the mats have been missing for a while.

CA legal?? I have relatives in FL, so not a road trip with a side of relatives could work.

wheels are painted, i am actually going to repaint them this weekend because i am not happy with how they turned out

as far as CA legal, you would have to find put on an aftermarket cat or find someone parting out one and pick up a used cat as it currently has a pipe where the cats used to be. But other than that, no reason why it would not be CA legal.

Finding catalytic converters shouldn't be an issue. I might even be able to use aftermarket converters that would still pass CA's nazi EPA standards. The bigger 'issue' is the EGR mapping. If it were meant to be CA legal, there will be a couple of decals located under the front of the hood. One will be an EGR map and the other will state whether or not it was meant for legal sale/operation in the People's Republic of Californiastan.

Nice looking rig. I had a 4Runner in that same color. Fun SUV, but that V6 was a sloth.

Nope no CEL light, there must be some sort of bypass as the O2 sensor is plugged in.

Yes, still available. If I get a deposit this weekend I can knock $500 off the price as I haven't even registered it since buying it but my temp tag runs out Monday.
