For those who don't feel like clicking on links and want to know the particulars, I will be leading an easy, scenic trail called Bill Moore Lake on Saturday the 19th. It is suitable for stockers and inexperience drivers. There are a couple of optional difficult sections that have bypasses. The trailhead is in Empire, which is close to Denver, and it only takes less than an hour and a half to get from the trailhead to the lake, which is right at timberline at 11,000 feet. Gorgeous alpine views up there, and the wildflowers are in full bloom, including columbine!

We'll meet at the Burger King in Downieville off I-70, just a couple miles west of Idaho Springs at 10:00 AM. CB channel 4. Bring lunch, water, warm clothes in case an afternoon storm comes in, and for goodness sake bring you camera! We'll have lunch and do a little hiking and exploring at the lake. Hope to see you there and happy cruisin'!
