The Woolwax came in and I attempted to apply it today, my overall impression is underwhelming. Outside temp was 50ish today and I used a 2qt Crock Pot to heat it up so it would at least flow. The Kellsport Pro gun with wands didn't work out for me with this product. It would barely spray at...
Well nuts, I just picked up another gallon of Fluid Film for this winter. I wish I would have seen this sooner. Good to hear it will work with the Pro gun and wands, which is what I have.
edit: I ordered a gallon, it sounds exactly like what I wish Fluid Film was.
Can I put it on over my...
I understand your rust battle, if the rest of the truck is as good as you say it's worth it. Just watch for safety stuff like leaking brake hard lines. How did you apply the Fluid Film? I gotta get busy with coating both of my trucks sooner than later.
Rural King sells this exact battery for much cheaper, it is definitely an Exide. Rural King Automotive AGM Group 24F Battery RK-AGM24F by Exide Technologies for $129.99 in Car - Battery Types - Batteries - Automotive : Rural King
It is pretty common on the E46 BMW's to pull the threads right out of the block when they get overheated and warp a head. Timesert makes a kit just for that application. While I have not performed the repair myself, I would be willing to say that Timesert is the only thing you can try with the...
There is practically no useful info out there for this alarm, it was not a very common install that I could find. Under the dash is the brain box as well as a separate shock sensor if I remember right. It's a been a while but I believe the shock sensor is adjustable. It took me years to figure...
Every time I load up the truck I cringe thinking of all the wasted space in the back. I do have the left side stuffed full of stuff like spare cooling hoses, tow straps, and a shovel but the passenger side is merely wasted. I have seen some folks add a circular marine access panel but I don't...
Really late to the game here and didn't read much of the 44 pages, but could it be possible the belts are simply slipping on the water pump pulley? I have fought belt slip issues on other supercharged vehicles, just a thought.
I have magnaflow hi flows and cant pass the Commirado rolling road dyno emissions test. Those cats are worthless for folks in strict emissions areas. Going to have to get the Magnaflow oem replacement cats, they make a CARB legal version too.
On a side note you need to check the back pressure...
Snow Performance makes some pretty nice water meth kits, it would be the first thing I would do if my 80 had a supercharger. The benefits far outweigh the drawbacks, if there any in your case.
My swingout will hit the receiver tube if I use a straight extension. I found a drop hitch that allows me to open the swing out but depending on how my Fleetwood Neon is turned it will conact the battery box.
I need the drop hitch and max coupler as posted by Corbet to be trouble free.
