As a lurker, his post were the ones I looked forward to reading. I will continue to learn from him as I search through the archives.
Condolences to his Family, MUD family, and many friends.
R.I.P. Sir :(
Take a deep breath and stand Back from the pile of rust formerly known as a Bosal Exhaust System!
I too, had the same experience many years ago with the "BOSAL". The O2 bung welds were the failure point also, POOR Quality!
When you have the Warranty Exchange pieces in hand, compare them to the...
OIC..
I was wondering that, I didn't think it actually worked, any better than OEM wires in good condition..
In a non-ideal situation, it can come in handy as a patch, short of replacing the entire headlight harness, due to aging issues, and abuse, etc...
Learned more about my truck, thanks...
I think the idea was to use the original headlight harness as the trigger for the relay, the relay acted as the conduit to power the headlights. The Slee harness provided the power directly to the headlights via the relay. Power itself to the headlights is more direct. :wrench:
Shouldn't this thread be marked: NSFW ?
I mean really people, this could be considered offensive... :censor:
Thanks to this...I am changing mine soon....
How about using a 5 gallon bucket (or 2).. and
RoadPro(R) 20 oz. Portable Beverage Heater - 12Volt
ZODI Outback Gear Battery Powered Shower - 12Volt
When empty, the buckets can be nested to save space and/or used to store stuff.
The web has many ways to rig a shower using a 5 gallon bucket...
Everyone else's research here on MUD lead me to LT285/75-16 on a med lift. The new speedo gear mod adj the speed near perfect.
The current reviews on the web lead me to Kumho AT51s, for the money conscious.
Which are found currently on sale @ Sears for < $150 ea. Installed @ < $740... YMMV...
I'd check the fuse block and fan with a voltmeter, and swap out the fuse with a known good fuse, before I would begin unbolting stuff, since you mentioned this malfunctioned a year ago, and checking for juice is my first go to.. but that's me....
.....not sure what you meant by the fuse...
I just dropped in a CF14 EP35 JL-02, no jumper, all is working great! Using LEDs at all corners.
As depicted in the above post, I needed to move a harness connector out of the way to get to the flasher.
I just about crawled up to the gas pedal to see where the new flasher needed to be plugged in.
