12k obo…shoot me an offer.
The day has come to put my 100 series up for sale and focus on my 60 series. That said this is my daily driver and as such I replaced pretty much everything that is known to give issues on the 100 series and then some to the tune of 7k in maintenance/repair parts...
Yeah man this is the one thing that scared me to have to replace if it went bad and well yeah. Really wish they just went with a regular brake booster.
I'm biting the bullet and just buying a new one. Rebuild didn't work and a used part I tried to use to save money didn't work either. Have literally sent it back twice now. It will work fine 90% of the time then out of no where to the floor it goes and have to pump it to get brakes. Anyway...
I’m about to pull trigger on a used master cylinder assembly and found one with a 1 year warranty that looks in much better shape than mine. Question is it looks identical to mine and states it’s for a 2000 but appears the master cylinder pressure sensor has a different connector. Other than...
So i'm having an issue with a brake fluid leak coming from the master cylinder area. I've never seen a puddle but it is wet in the firewall area and I do add more brake fluid every so often. Other than that my brakes are perfect...there are no lights, no screeching, and no loud ass beeping...
I order the replacement inner c-channels and have been cutting out the old ones and have a question on the rivets for the rear shackle mount. Are they also welded on or just riveted in? I’m asking because I’m wondering if I should remove the shackle from the mount before I knock out those...
I have a 62 that day for a couple years and we’ll it needed a battery and fuel pump when I tried firing it up again. I added a new fuel pump and it ran perfectly for a couple months. Recently when driving maybe 45min I can feel it miss at a stop though it never dies. Upon acceleration it will...
Well my issues are with ss brake lines already but I found the problem. So I put on my big boy pants and really stomped on the brakes and got it to lock up. I then thought about it and even from light stops I’m pushing harder than I should have to. It was sitting for 2 years and I’m guessing...
So I went out and bench bled the MC, adjusted the rear brakes, adjusted parking brake cable, lubed up the bell crank, flushed about 2 quarts of brake fluid through the system, and bled it in the correct order...all 5.
With the vehicle off it has a much better pedal and gets very firm quickly...
So sure enough the code is on the passenger door tumbler. Literally held in place with a little locking shim kind of thing that usually holds brake hoses in place. About 2 minutes at a key place and it was done.
So I pulled the drum off and the rear brakes didn’t adjust at all using the hand brake. It got dark on me but I’m going to try and adjust them from the udjuster in the backside. I’m wondering if that’s why I have to pump up the pedal to get brakes.
About a year ago On my 62 i noticed the brake pedal getting spongy and didn’t have time so parked it in the back of my carport.
Recently I replaced the rear brakes and wheel cylinders. While bleeding I wasnt paying attention and ran the master cylinder dry. I bled the master cylinder and...
I didn't want to spend big bucks and gave doetsch-tech shocks a try a couple years ago and they've been perfectly fine for my city driving and my 150 mile drives to the beach with another 30-50 miles down the beach. I bought the twin tube shocks but they have a 2.0 monotube with 46mm bore for...
