I tried painting mine and it made them look a little better. I think the trims are around $40-45. Be careful removing and reinstalling them because they're made of flimsy metal that bends easily. I wonder if a heat gun would work on it? I will probably just buy new ones sometime.
I have these exact tires. I am pretty happy with them. I ended up buying a matching spare too, because my original was dry rotted. The spare fits fine in the stock location in the back. It is a little snug to the trailer hitch I have on mine though.
Replace the pins and bushings of the hinge. I think harbor freight has the special tool you will need to do the job. I think the problem is common enough that most parts stores would carry the parts needed to do the repair. There are also youtube videos that show how to do the repair.
I had leaky valve covers and was able to tightent the valve cover bolts myself to slow/stop the leak. I think it is a 10 mm or 12 mm socket. If you decide to replace them, don't forget the spark plug hole o-rings.
I think the spark plugs should be good for many more miles especially if they...
I just installed the phillips 9012s in the low beams. I spent about 1 minute on each bulb with my best set of dykes and they popped right in. They are a great upgrade over stock and I am very happy with the better lighting now that it is getting dark so much earlier.
I have had Ford 351 heads rebuilt at Precision Auto Machine too. They did good work for a good price, but they took a little longer than they said they would. I would definitely go back there in the future for more work.
You could clean and condition the leather to minimize further tearing. An upholstery shop would be able to repair or replace the leather seat panel that needs work. Or you could get some new leather from Metric TLC.
Thanks bamabrock! Now I need to come up with a parts list to email them.
Off - topic - Do you do any offroading around the Birmingham area? I live in Moody and work in Bham.
