i did this job recently (only the front lines), and it was indeed very hard to push the Gates 3/8in hose (I did put some grease). I had the one Toyota OEM that is still available and night and day difference. Toyota line is softer and sized correctly and goes in without issue

for what is worth I have been running this set up now for 7 years with no issues at all. In fact I have even checked it after a while and everything was nice and tight.

When I flush I put a thermostat that i cut out the spring and valve. That way the system is wide open and I feel it should do a better job flushing. Maybe an overkill but getting to the thermostat is pretty easy so why not

My issue is with the 'Low Fuel Light' which is a different sensor. The sensor that picks up low fuel is circled in red. The light bulb in the cluster is OK, and I have also tested the circuit at the fuel pump plug. Pretty sure that the little guy is the culprit at this point.
