FJ62 OME 90% Installed: Some Issues and advice needed

I just looked at the shackle on my 62. I have the same deal. I have a little more clearance between the pipe and shackle. Never had an issue with the shackle reversing and hitting the exhaust pipe. My exhaust may be a little beat up more than yours though. You could bend it out of the way a...

Just purchased the OME kit, what else do I need?

I did not have to extend the brake lines after lifting the truck. I had the OME setup on my wagon for 5 years before replacing lines. I did upgrade using Goodridge stuff due to the original lines were starting to fail. I did note that the new Goodridge extended lines were a perfect fit from...

Need Local Feedback on Sedona Trails

I was out on the powerline trail south of Sedona last weekend. It was fantastic out there. Really warm during the day (60's-70'S), snow only in the shady areas. At night it got cold, cold really fast. We got our 3 hams out there.

    "Wide" Corbeau seats

Is anyone gonna give me an answer to my question? "Will the seats that have a wider ass that Corbeau makes fit in a 60/62?" Corbeau makes a couple of models with an additional 2" of width of the seat base. Corbeau Sport seat and Corbeau GT7 seat, - These models come in 2 ways: a 21"...

    FJ60 Gas miledge

Stock gears and 33's. In town 175-180 miles/tank. Highway is around 220-240 miles/tank, I can cruise at 80mph @ 2500rpm. This is what I've had for the last 8-9 years.

    "Wide" Corbeau seats

Do the "wide" Corbeau seats fit? I know the regular Corbeau seats fit fine in a wagon, but I don't fit in too fine in regular seats. I don't want to loose the center console but I am willing to let it go for some comfort. If people have pics or other suggestions "Lets see and hear them".

    OME heavy - what's CBS01

I reused the rubber pad isolators. I forgot all about the bushings when I installed the new OME rear leafs. When I finnished the rear I found the steel bushings but I did'nt feel like taking everything apart again. I was told 7 years ago that the bushings needed to go in or "you'll have...

    Pictures of my new seats

You did mention that you were gonna lower them a little. I've always wished the 60/62 seats could go back at least 1". How much if possible can the seats be adjusted up/down, fore/aft with the factory seat mounts. They do look good and comfortable. My driver seat pading is wasted. It's...

    Hubs Locked making funny noise.

The sound you are hearing is not the hubs. When the hubs are locked the axleshafts are turning, the differential is turning, front driveshaft and U-joints are turning and so is the front outputshaft in the transfercase. This is the sound(s) you are hearing and/or lack of proper maintenace...

    Slee vs. Kaymar rear bumper

Make sure when you buy the Slee you order a few replacement latches. They do and will break. This latch mechanism will and cannot support over time the stress put on it by the tire and other stuff on the carrier. Go see the pics on the site. Just by looking at the latch and the way it's...
