No, I can hear the relay click and the fuel pump start, but the starter doesn't move - can't even hear the plunger move (and it's a newer starter) - banging the starter with a broom handle doesn't help.
Hello all, FJ62 starts cold perfectly, and I can hear the relays and fuel pump working. After driving it for more than half hour and then stopping for 30-40 minutes (run into store, etc.) it then doesn't start unless you let it sit for another 30-40 minutes. I've checked the items mentioned on...
Install was smooth except for unscrewing some of the ancient hose to metal pipe connections, first time working with A/N connectors/hose, easy once you do the first one, a little oil on the connector that drives into the hose end makes it much easier. IMG_20170714_161118878.jpg. Thanks for the...
Hello @Godwin I'm replacing my original relay, and, not being an electronics wizard, am not sure which wires go to which connectors on the new relay - is there a trick to testing the connectors with a multimeter, or can you let me know what color wire goes to which connector on the Bosch relay...
Read through the thead but not clear on a basic/classic steel rim that fits JF62 stock with no spacers needed - any recommendations? I'll use 255/85/16 KM2 tires.
Thanks in advance!
Great thread - updating my FJ62 A440F transmission cooler and lines - can't find the thread size of the female inlet/outlet on the transmission, anyone know? Sketch here of my plans. Note instead of 3/8" cooler line, I'll use -6AN line for an exact match to the fittings: Summit Racing® Stainless...
@Spook50 Apologies for the slow reply! I used the VC120 canister - has been on for about 2 years and all works well, over the mountain passes and at sea level.
Planning to remove my A/C system (no charge) and replace the seals/bearings/etc. and get a new condenser. Can't find a good thread on the end to end process - anyone have a link? I don't want to tackle removing the in-dash parts yet - what are the thread sizes for the pressure lines into the...
Updating my fusible links (FJ62) to chase down an intermittent electrical issue, plan to use these connectors (original plastic connectors are disintegrating) Allstar Performance Weatherpack Connectors ALL76267 - for the three way (all greens) and the two single fusible links. Would like to use...
How do I remove the nut holding on the Neutral Safety Switch - don't want to bugger anything up, and haven't removed a bolt with this setup before.

Thanks!
Understand the best place to put a jack stand is on the leaf spring plate with the four bolts, but where is the best place to put the bottle jack while jacking it up - manual looks like it says the axel, but read that can bend it?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks all, I went with a rebuilt Denso from TOR as the alt in the 62 ended up being a non-Toyota. Thanks for the replies and good to know about the solid local shops for future needs!
Cheers!
Didn't know there were covers for the access holes! :) Mine has been missing them from day one. Anyone know were I can order replacements can't seem to find anywhere.
Cheers!
Hello all,
Dropped the front drive shaft, replaced the yoke joints, all is good, even found the Craftsman 1/2" torque wrench 2/3's off!
Now, what is the trick to get the bolts tightened to 65ft/lbs without it rotating while tightening?!
Thanks in advance!
Thanks TLC Norway! Tapped in the cap with a brass drift and looks much better, it's very tight, so it's not going anywhere without a significant hit.

I had the transfer case rebuilt a few years ago, guessing they...
