I just rehooked the battery up, and the ABS actuator didn't start running.
So I removed the ABS fuse, started it and ran it around the block, then shut it back down and replaced the fuse. ABS light went out, and the actuator turned off with the car. So maybe it was just a fluke.
Driving home today, ABS light came on. Got home, shut off engine, went inside. Came back out 10 minutes later, and hear something humming under the hood. This sucker is still running, getting hot, and not smelling too good. Key is completely out of the ignition, I had to pull the battery to...
I finally found something that works well. I got a couple of 1 inch square STRONG magnets (rare earth work well), and worked them inside the headliner just in front of the sunroof.
Then I went to the hardward store and found 2 of those chrome metal "bands" that go on glass stereo cabinet...
Damn...sent the guy an email last night, but the craigslist ad is already been deleted this morning. That looked like an awfully clean 40 for the money...
Andrea - I'm not asking if I should use a 4.7Kohm resistor. This has already been discussed in another thread (the one you posted in also), and determined that pretty much anything between 2Kohm and 10Kohm will prevent the 0401/0402 code. I'm going with a 4.7Kohm since this person has had good...
Andrea - as I stated in my first post, that is why I'm adding the 4.7Kohm resistor. The resistor should satisfy the ECU into not throwing an error code.
Good to know Jeffro. With all the existing "delete EGR" threads I've searched, there just doesn't seem to be any definitive information on the entire process for the 1fze. So hopefully some others with experience will chime in here.
Yes, I know this topic has been beaten to death, but it seems the correct information is spread amongst a half dozen threads. Plus I need to verify a few things. Maybe this thread can serve as a one-stop consolidated place for others looking to do this.
My reasoning for doing this is that I've...
Funny, I'll never buy another Kenmore again, after the $1000 fridge I bought from Sears went tits up after 3 years. Not that I'll ever buy another Fisher & Paykel, but you can't argue with free.
It's the wire that connected to the the large heating element (there are 2 elements). I'll definitely need a new spade connector, I just want to make sure the connector was the problem!
The new heater kit I installed was actually a "redesign", they had been having issues with the original. Before replacing, I had to manually reset the thermostat every month or so, which required removing the front panel.
I actually got the washer/dryer set free from a buddy who was tired...
I have a Fisher & Paykel dryer model DEGX1 (220v) that I recently replaced the sensor board, heating coils and thermostats in. It worked great for an hour - then stopped heating again. Tearing it back apart I found this. The good news is they are covering the parts under warranty. Luckily I...
I DID contact USAA when this first occurred, and again on Wednesday. My agent called the manager and ascertained that NTB corporate is paying for the damages, not NTB's insurance company. My agents advice was to try and resolve it directly with NTB first.
If USAA handles the claim, my...
Well, this still hasn't been resolved.
When I turned in the estimates, I told the manager I expected the check to be cut to me, and for their insurance or corporate office to call me if this was an issue. He assured me that they would.
2 weeks later, I still hadn't heard anything so I...
I had these on my old truck:
Silicone Blades
Never replaced them in 3 years and they kept working great.
They are pricey, and I am by heart a cheap ass and thus haven't gotten them for the 80 yet. Just sticking with OEM which seem to work okay.
