So I was driving around town the other day and noticed that my brake light flashed on and then off real quick. I didnt think much of it and then a couple days later it came back, this time it was on for a few miles and then dimmed down a little. So i checked the fluid and its full. Yesterday it...
Had some time to post some pics :)
The first one was today while I was putting the lights in. I have everything wired up. Ill I have to do is mount the lights. The other 2 were from last year with my buddy at his farm. It was the weekend after I got the lift. We were pretty excited...
So I did my homework last night and this is what I came up with...
- checking all engine fluids
- engine oil, coolant, brake and clutch, transmission, power steering, diffs
- all hoses under the hood
- check the cooling system
- check PVC valve
- changing all the filters
- (I...
So I had a little spare time this afternoon and decided that I would mount my hella 500's on the bumper. I got everything wired up and then promptly ran out of daylight. My plan is to get the light done tomorrow and off to the shop to fix the oil leak.
Been looking through a toyota manual my...
Man im jealous. I've been looking for a bumper for quite some time now and that has to be one of the best looking ones I've seen so far. Too bad my brother is worthless when it comes to cars. I like the color to, very clean.
X3....
I love my 95. The 1FZ is great. I have plenty of power for all the trail riding I need. A buddy of mine has the 3FE and he likes it but after driving his and mine I still like mine much better.
I was planning on buying the engine overhaul kit from Man-A-Fre, seems like it has everything I need. What else consists of a baseline/PM (changing fluids and seals im assuming??)
I had the same problem a couple weeks ago. Until this past year I think the lockers on mine were turned on a handfull of times so sometimes they get stuck. I went to an empty parking lot and turned everything on and off and did some figure 8's. Eventually they fixed themselves.
Thanks for the ideas. I think I might go with the first one of the lights closer to center. Hopefully Santa will leave me a bumper under the tree this year. ;)
Well the time has finally come and I have taken control of the family 80. I purchased it from a family friend a couple years ago, he hated to sell it and now I understand why, and my dad has taken pretty good care of it since.
As of this post it has 207K miles, runs well for the miles. Last...
I wouldnt shoot down the lift yet. I will admit that having heavy all the way around it is a somewhat rough ride, downtown Atlanta doesnt exactly have the best roads. For sure get the tires cause I think the truck looks a little weak without it.
If you get the 3in OME lift that will give you...
Sorry, I guess issues was the wrong word. I meant to say gearing and shift points would need to be changed. The car would run fine but for better mpg and wear on the engine it would make sense to get it adjusted.
Tried searching but to no avail. Does anyone have Hella 500's mounted to a stock bumper or anything around that same size. I have some and I want to put them on but i I cant really tell how it will look.
Thanks!!
As far as tires I have 295 Hankook MT's. I could have gone a touch bigger but then you get into transmission issues and that becomes $$$$$$$ Here is a pic of my rig
I ordered the lift through the guys at ACC here in Atlanta, best LC guys in the South, but instead of heavy in the front and medium in the back I have heavy on the front and rear. The front sits a little lower than the back obviously cause of the extra weight but I'm getting spacers to level it...
