hi all,
last summer i returned to my beloved Telula on Vancouver Island only to find that she wouldn't move. The tranny had been acting up. Now living in Ontario and would like to find a suitable beast to transplant stuff into, strip telula and move it on.

To my knowledge it is an H55 4 speed. If not my apologies. Did the H55 not come in a 4 speed? It is on Salt Spring Island. I"m moving this engine for a friend as a middle man as he is not interested in going through the process.
Hi folks,

filled the engine block fully with coolant, drove for a while and after no movement on the stat spoke wth John at Radd Cruisers who advised me to reconnect the wire to the stat...I now have a functional land cruiser.... :0)
AND when i opened the hose on the thermostat housing, though i had emptied the lower rad house, the top one was empty. bone dry nothing. i'm getting into the air bubble thing...
Thanks for all of the advice.
The rad cap was tested and found to be air tight.
None of the fins broke off to my knowledge off the old water pump. I will look though.

So here's a good one...little bit of history first
Truck sits for 1.5 years in a field.

Do a full blown rad swap with a new skookum custom built amazing rad.
Replace all hoses, belts.
Do a 400km trip...
Thanks for the reply. its about 20 degrees. spring weather. no hills to climb. highway driving no idling.
what do you mean partially block some of the rad?
It's a 2h. i looked to see how hard it is to change, but i'm not seeing anything online.
