Hi all, I have a similar story to share. 2000 LC with 235k miles. I've been investigating the low fuel economy after CATs were stolen and replaced with non-OEM. Long story short, why would I go from 12-14MPG down to 9MPG? I finally took it to a mechanic for a compression test, and they...

I wanted to thank the community once again, if it wasn't for this wealth of info I would have given up and left it to the dealer to overcharge me. Hopefully this extra info will help the next person:
-It is very easy and quick to unscrew the 2 Phillips screws on the back end of the ignition...
I just finished replacing mine and used the ebay part and it was an exact match. Considering now I know what to do, it was only $65 and took me under 30minutes, I feel comfortable if it lasts another 22years.
Question for pea nugget, did you ignition cam break and did you only replace the camshaft rod or did you also need to replace the ignition and get a new key and have a locksmith match keys/locks?
So, good news the 100 is parked in my driveway. Bad news, I get the ignition to spin freely issue. Sounds like a broken cam. Am I able to just replace the cam and preserve my key and ignition or should I replace all? And that leads to a question of if I replace the entire assembly, how do I...

I have used working parts from a 100 Series driver side front door for the master switch and the window motor. Take all or one. Asking $160 + shipping for both or $80 ea as separate parts + shipping. Thanks for looking.
I've got a burned out DS window motor. I verified that the switch was not the culprit. The window is fully up or closed. I have a used motor and haven't torn into it yet.
How do I move the window down manually to get the lifter arm out?
Thanks!
I have the same issue with DS Front window. It is stuck in the fully up position and the switch will not work to let it go down/up. How do I get the window down in order to replace the motor if it is not working? Thanks!
Same thing I am experiencing after getting a new windshield replaced this weekend. I was driving in residential 25-30MPH and could hear a ton of wind noise. I called the installer and they said those LCs are tricky with the moulding. He sure didn't say that at the start of the install.
