230k+/- miles, highway miles because it takes an hour to get to town from where I live. Couple dings and dents, needs a rear driver mud flap. Lots of work done to it, lots of new parts but it's basically stock. Wife only wants to drive the 100 series and I have 4 other vehicles so she needs to...
$3k it is! Like I said, let me know if I'm being unreasonable :D
Maybe I should put ARB front and rear, some Slee sliders, a roof rack, 2.5 heavy lift and ask $8k?
Just a thought, I wanted to do all that stuff to it anyways. Heh.
So who wants it for $3k?
$5k OBO, tell me if that's unreasonable.
230k, good tires, new master cylinder, PS pump, front calipers/rotors/pads, new rear brake shoes/rear pistons, braided stainless brake lines, front axle and birfs redone at around 220k at McGeorge Toyota.
New custom exhaust system at around 225k, 2"...
I think he's saying that everyone else's (Ford, Chevy, Dodge) big 1-ton trucks with the diesels somehow manage to sell for less then the LC, but that's not a really great point.
If you wanna compare them you'd have to order a 6-door conversion dually (yeah, they ARE out there) so it would have...
Any ideas? It's part #3800010M with the mounting kit, and since I have a 100 and an 80 that I could swap it between for different kinds of trips (camping vs. road trips with the whole family) I was hoping it would work. Anyone have any thoughts or experience?
Thanks!
When I got my 80 it was totally ghettofied:
Tinted bug shield
Tinted window shields
Tinted sunroof shield (covered half the !$%@#% sunroof)
Wanna-be brush guard
Hollow tube steprails (with open ends, I think I had wasp nests in them)
Blue (!@%#$ BLUE?!?!) tint
I mean really, WTF? Who...
I got 50 series flowmaster's on both the 80 and the 100. Tried a 40 series with the 100 and realized after about 3 weeks that I really did need to hear my wife talking beside me, and I missed the stereo a lot, so that's when I got the 50 series with the low resonance junk. Nice.

Okay, here's the real deal IMHO. I've been doing a TON of research into bio-fuels and the like, and here's what I've been able to glean.
Ethanol is crap. It takes more energy to make then you get out of it, and lowers the power and gas-mileage of anything it's used in. Not good.
Hydrogen...
Ive had a '92 80 for a couple years now, and if you're looking for a daily driver for freeway use I might say let this one pass.
The power issue is my main complaint with this truck, it's really slow. REALLY slow. You can do things to make it quicker, but that's more $$, and you can't get...
Okay, newbie ignorance here. Tried the magic search button and found nada. MAF has the shackles and bushings, Slee has the bushings and ? What should I use? I'm kinda new to the suspension area.
Thanks for any help!

Didn't notice any huge gains until I fiddled with the timing, and now it's a different vehicle. I hit 100 mph on flat ground with a headwind and still had more pedal left in it, and I couldn't believe it! Mileage is dramatically better, takeoff and top end are both dramatically improved. It's...
Got Bosch's in my 80 and I'm not too impressed. I'm thinking about the NGK now, how about Iridium? I have the Iridium's in the 100 and they're really nice, but the V8 in the 100 seems to be from a different world as the 3FE. Lemme know what you think.

Alrighty then!
Had to go dual 2" from the manifold, did keep the pipe-thru-the-cat trick tho, and kept the 2" dual up to the flowmaster, and right out the back.
Removed the muffler from the spec location, removed the heat shield, removed the spare tire carrier and placed the new muffler...
Sounds good, I'll tell them to go as big as possible. I'll be dropping it off monday and heading to the bahamas on tuesday, so I won't see it till at least wednesday the 26th, but I'm hoping for some kind of improvement.
I'm still debating having them rip the head off and getting the valves...
Gutting will be taking place next week. 2.5" from the manifolds, solid pipe pushed thru the cats and welded in place, and a dual-into-dual flowmaster 50 series with the low resonance.
Is dual 2.5" too big? I don't want to burn up my valves.
Thanks!

I'll check them out, but yeah, I was intending to go from the engine back if possible.
Has anyone had any problems with the enging popping codes due to the cat removal?
