That's how I feel as well. And your story sounds a lot like mine.
Every time I take this 80 on a trip or make a modification, I ask myself whether he'd approve.
I know he'd want me to drive it and make as many memories as possible.
As @SNLC alluded to...these are more than cars to many of us.
We've finally had enough heat the last week or two to melt the snow on some of the local national forest trails. Went for a drive after lunch with the heat on and window down. Exercised the diff locks and just idled through the woods.
Happy Friday.
Interesting.
I pressed in those bushings when I did the OME kit a couple of years back. I haven't had any caster/vibration issues with this lift, so I'll probably leave it alone.
I will say that it was a PITA getting those in.
Knuckles are wrapped up. I went with Koyo bearings and new OEM rotors.
This is always a satisfying project when I can take my time. Thanks, @cruiseroutfit for new kit.
Yeah, that's why I think it's odd that it wants gasoline with ethanol. Or maybe I read that wrong.
I run ethanol-free in everything I own that has a carb.
The 40 has been waiting patiently in my shop the last few months. Finally got a chance to take her out for a lunch spin to the local deli with the mut today.
This thing runs so well. Sure missed it.
Screwing around on our main road this morning and caught the snow bank with my ds wheel. Pulled me right off the road into waist deep snow before I could even react.
Just had to dig deep enough to lock both hubs, which was ROUGH in flip flops, let me tell you.
