Alright, I rechecked everything with a meter multiple times and everything checked good; almost.
The continuity on the third little pink fusible link was sketchy. When I held it firmly I would get a good tone, if I left it loose it would drop in and out. I dug through my spares and luckily I...
So, it’s a 1997 FZJ.
All wires connected.
There is not a CEL with the key in run, didn’t notice that before. What could be keeping this from lighting?
While cranking the Low AT temp and low oil pressure lights illuminated but they went out when I stop cranking.
I can’t remember if you can...
Fusible links connected and voltage checked.

It ran fine before the battery swap, I don’t know what I’m missing here.
My battery was tired and not holding a charge so I picked up a new one and replaced it. The truck turns over strong, but will not start. No other changes than the battery. The truck ran fine before the swap.
I double checked the wires and everything is connected correctly; what am I missing?
I'm Boyd, in Costa Mesa with my FZJ80. I do most everything myself but I did use YotaMasters for my diff gears. There really aren't great options nearby, but always glad to see another cruiser in Costa Mesa!
Damn! The change in dates screws with my schedule. I will be getting off of my wedding cruise the day before CM starts.
Looks like I'll have to take the entire month off ;-)
Sorry for the random reply...
There are several fans that can be used instead of the TRD ringed fan. The 3FE fan fits and an early 4Runner fan fits. Neither moves as much air as the original 3FZE fan.
That's the benefit of the modified diesel clutch. You can use the original fan without...
Who did you use and what do you think of the install/product/quality?
My system was spec'd at 18 panels for about 80% production due to some shadowing from trees and less than ideal roof exposure. I also went with 2 additional panels upping it to 20 (anticipating additional usage.) I'm...
Are they still eligible for the coveted HOV lane stickers?
Plus, used car inventory is really low right now driving the prices up. There are some great dealer incentives out there to try to pull people from the used car market. Good Luck!
Ouch, that sucks. is she OK?
From previous experience the rearmost driver will be at fault only for the car they hit. The other drivers will be at fault for each vehicle they hit, even if they were stationary - following too closely or not leaving enough space between vehicles. Reality is that...
No Brent, you're good. You got the photo right on the money! Your next post should be at 275,000. Keep them at significant milestones instead of just random pictures of the odometer.
Of course I'm poking fun because I'm only at 187,000 and it will take me another 7-8 years to get where you are...
You guys need to be more on the ball; 296,383 and 290,687 :meh: sheesh
Let's see pictures at something clever like 299,999 or just right at 300,000! :flipoff2:
Carl,
You said that you thought the rear suspension was too soft for the 200. Did you end up changing it out for something else or just live with it?
Truck still looks great!
