My oem winch is leaking oil. I see oil from the rubber drain hose thingie on the driver side bottom part of the winch (LHD unit). How is the unit serviced? Thank you,
No such guarantees exis on my side of the globe but im hoping the set will work well on the Suzuki (jimny), the samurai's successor. Just curious how well it will work on a bigger rig. Yes, lots of agricultural roads in the contryside and poorly maintained concrete roads here even in the...
They're selling 'em over here at very attractive prices. Anyone tried them on a Cruiser yet? Local dealer is selling 2" or longer units which will fit lifted rigs. I got some for the little Suzuki and here is how they typically look like.
Inputs would be appreciated. :)
Caster bushings, I assume?
No need to extend the swaybar links or go with an adjustable panhard and all the other metal bits I see on the 'kits' they sell? hehe
I came from a Gen II Pajero before stepping up to the 80. Congratulations. Mitsubishi may be suffering in the U.S. Market but there's a healthy market and aftermarket for it overseas.
I think a lot of Monty owners hang out at 4x4wire.com. :). What mods are you running on the Gen III?
On an 80 with stock suspension and the stock 16" tires, what are the measurements for the following?
1. Hub to flare front
2. Hub to flare rear
3. Ground to leading edge of running board
4. Ground to trailing edge of running board
Thanks so much :)
How many inches were your TJM's? Being offered a 4" set also including panhards, brake lines, and caster bushings.
Im just running 285's but would appreciate the extra clearance as local roads can flood during storm season.
Do I need bumpstop and swaybar extensions for the 4" lift?
I have a TJM bullbar but no experience with their suspension kits. Currently running what I think are OME standard height springs (bought used to replace my sagging coils) and OME shocks then fitted with spacers.
Being offered a set of the TJMs for a good price (brand new).
Anyone here...
We adjusted the shoes first before the ebrake handle. Previous owner seemed to have had interior work done on the vehicle and prolly messed up the lever adjuster thinking it has to be loosened to remove the handle.
Enrake now holds the vehicle in neutral on hills. :)
Thanks for the advice. Went to my usual veteran mechanic today. Adjusted the shoes. Checked the parking brake system. Found a minor ebrake cable issue inside the drums (improper reassembly). No leak in the wheel cylinders. But some diff juice was leaking on the end of the passenger side...
