I have a JDM imported BJ73, would the batteries be in a different order?
I think the Low side was the one closest to the headlights and high side was the one further back.
But if I need a converter, wouldn't it technically be connected to the high side or else I wouldn't need a...
I dunno what any of that means
I had someone install it for me, he also had to install a converter thing too. I checked the fuse on the converter but it didn't look burned or broken.
So I charged up the first battery which was the lower one of the two, but I think I may have killed my headunit in the process. But at least the truck is running now.
My dad managed to forget the keys in the truck and drained the batteries, now it won't start, it barely has any power. Is there anyway I can charge it with a 12V car battery charger(it's a 24V)? It's one of those car starter/charger things from Canadian Tire.
I was thinking trickle charging 1...
Thanks for help guys!
Now is the replacement really easy to do? I think I just see 2 or 3 screws in the back for the cover, and all I do is pull that off and do a switch?? Or is there some interior panels and whatnot I should replace first?
I think I'll go for the kit, so I can replace...
I have a JDM BJ73 and the rear brake light has gone out.
Is the replacement an easy 5 minute fix or something long and complicated?
Is there any shops that would sell the bulb in the lower mainland in BC? or any online stores?
I'm going to be pretty busy hauling chinese lion dance...
No worries about the hijack.. I'll test it out today. I was at home all yesterday.
As with your question, i guess it wold depend on the tires? My 73 would rarely lock up but it does stop very quickly. Even pushed at the limit, the tires wouldn't squeal very much.
It wasn't that cold out that...
I noticed my brake pedal felt a bit stiff last night and the stopping power just wasn't there. Just prior before that I went through a huge puddle.. like 1.5ft deep, there was some flooding going on. Are the brakes damaged?
Also, I guess I'll keep it in 1 thread, but this past winter, my...
I'm located in the lower mainland, BC.
that's the stuff :)
I haven't been using it for a while since I've switched over to B20 (better lubricative properties) and I've been running it for 2 years without any problems. I kept it in my truck just in case I had to fill up from somewhere since...
So I have a bottle of diesel lubricative, (Howe's Power Meaner Kleener or whatever) and while I was moving some bulky items, managed to break the bottle and spill about 1/5 of the bottle onto the rear side of the back seats and a bit onto the seatbelts...
The smell is pretty nauseating after...
Couldn't you just use the original alternator to charge the additional battery or would that be too big of a drain on a single alternator? I recall some people have done this. The additional battery was used only to power the stereo and DVD, they'd go camping and stay up until the battery was...
That's what I mean! Hehe.. you're dreaming about things to do with rigs man... that's...almost as bad as me dreaming about beating a high level boss in world of warcraft LOL
But in reality, I don't think the extra added weight and potential reliability problems justifies a twin turbo set up...
RHD Landcruiser here, no accidents so far *knock on wood*
it's not that much different anyways. I got used to it in the first 15 minutes of driving, then after I go used to the signal and windshield wiper stalks being on opposite sides, it was fine.
