Andy,
Driving in from the north would allow you to have a route mostly on interstates while also staying out of Charlotte traffic. I hope you can make it.
Red Hills activities are typically in the south GA (Albany-Thomasville) / FL Panhandle region so they might be a bit of a drive, but they are the only TLCA chapter in the state.
If you are interested in just connecting with local Cruiser heads, the YOTA crew might be an option too...
Just got back. As always, a lot of fun with a great group. It was my understanding that they had +150 pre-registered with many more at the event.
Hope you can make it next year.

This might give you a taste of the plans in advance the full info release in May that Charles referenced
I do not recall finding any aftermarket options for the resistor, but I also do not recall looking either.
With the info provided by AirheadNut, I would suggest removing the resistor first to visually inspect it. My experience was the wire resistor coils break (burn out) and can readily be...
Based on what I have encountered with my 70, your description indicates that the resistor is partially burned out. The last time I needed one some years ago, they were available but had to be ordered.
As Coldtaco already mentioned, the resistor is close to the fan motor and relatively easy...
Thanks for letting me tag along with this team.
Great company / spotting / camaraderie ... It was certainly a pleasure to get to know you and wheel with you. Looking forward to next year already.
It better. We designed it to crush all takers.
Reports back from Langley indicated that an entire F-18 squadron out of Oceana attempted to bushwhack a single 22 in the spirit of service rivalry, only to be crushed.
An additional consideration is experience/expertise with Toyota diesels ... not just price.
Expertise needs to include the machine shop, not just the mechanic. The machine shop needs to have expertise in diesel engines and the associated tighter tolerances/nuances inherent in machining for a...
Waiting until June for the next opening with Peter & Max is a long wait, but you would have complete confidence during the wait that the header install would be completed with exacting care by Peter. Good luck in finding a solution that you are comfortable with.
Have you checked with Cole at OTM? I expect that OTM has a month (minimum) backlog too. The drive to Birmingham seems almost short to us since we are there regularly; your perspective might differ.
FYI While visiting my daughter a few weeks back, I was able to make time to stop by and see...

Interesting idea.
I am headed to RoundUp in a week. With it being close to 1000 miles each way, I will be adding a few stops (i.e., days) to drive so it will block out the weekends of the 9th/10th and 16th/17th. Looking further ahead... the Relic Run is 17-21April which is likely to be a...
Thanks for adding to the humor via irony.
Work was high tech (aerospace/defense) and our IT org retired Slack/Skype for the corporation since it could not support the needs going forward. I can't place the name of the new tool, but it certainly smelled the same as Skype/Slack at the core.
LOL Too much like the office. FYI, Skype and Slack were just retired on 1Jan as obsolete formats at work, so the winds of change might already be sweeping this away soon too.
Been a prisoner to Skype for years with what seems like hundreds of Slack channels creating a nightmare of...
Not a member so I hope you don't mind a post from an outsider ...
FYI Registration for the Relic Run 2024 (17-21April) is now open. For those that have not attended prior years, all Land Cruisers are welcome but the event's focus is showcasing the 40 series...
As you identified, typical A and B are section cuts through the oil pan. They are attempting to illustrate that between bolts, the sealant is applied down the center in the dimple; while at the bolts, the sealant should be applied inward relative to the bolt.
When you have the entire ribbon...
Bolting to the stand is what I would project. The mounting flange portion of the vise is likely cast iron, so welding would not be a good solution.
Kudos on your new vise.
