Would a rear diff section fit in a front axle of the same year and vice versa? Are the axle shaft splines that slide into the diffs coarse or fine from one year to another or are they the same throughout?
$25 plus ship. Semi rough, few dents, tabs are a little bent, needs cleaning, glass included, high beam indicator is ugly, rubber is good but not perfect. Having issues uploading photos, PM for more photos.
$20 plus ship. Condition is rough, one mounting point is weak and some corrosion in the workings behind the face plate. Unit is complete and face plate is in good shape with very minor corrosion.
4 15x8 steel wheels. Pretty ugly but I'm sure they would clean up nice with some blasting and paint. Fit just fine with my drum set up but need small spacers for front disk. Straight. Rear center caps included, had to cut off the fronts. Local pick up only please. SanAntonio or surrounding area...
$65 plus ship. Worked when pulled a few minutes ago. No knob or mounting collar. I’m installing a switch without the rheostat. This is a unit that has the lighted knob option with correct wiring.
PN 84340-12012. The new “OEM” switch is longer and more difficult to install because of the length. The plug is also different. Bought from Cruiser Corps. Why is this?
Where can I find a replacement rubber pad that activates the brake light switch? Mine is not activating my brake switch like it should. I have to pull the pedal up to get the lights to turn off or my battery will die.
Does or can anyone make #35 hard brake line from the front resevoir of the master down to the frame to connect to the middle soft line? It has the curls in it.

I just did a FJ60 front disk conversion on my 40. The white spoke steel wheels I had now rub the calipers slightly. Where as with my drums obviously they didn't rub. Is the back spacing different between the drum and the disk units? I will use small wheel spacers for now and will be ordering...
Well, I guess it's time to start a rebuild thread instead of starting a bunch of random threads for questions.
I've done several many rebuild projects to date and will post pics of them here in time. My current project is a front axle rebuild with a disk brake conversion using parts from a...
I'm having a very hard time with the C clips installing the outer birf on the inner shaft for a front disk conversion on my '75 40. The pipe clamp always comes off, the clamp really doesn't even fit inside the birf and the clip never gets inside the splines... I saw a fella just shove the shaft...
I'm looking for a single rear short folding seat for my '75 40. With rubber bumpers, no leg. Frame only or complete seat. Surface rust ok but no rot please. Thanks
