That's awesome!! A trip like that I'm sure brought about other ideas or upgrades. When you get a few more minutes let us know how nulla did and what you are planning now.
I ran dual red tops in my 96 Yukon 6.5TD. got about 6 years and 100000k miles.. No overlanding just driving and camping. i just replaced them with autozone brand batteries. I had good luck but then they were just starters for me..

Don't get me wrong I love my Ranger splitter but 20 years ago when I started my conversion I was young and naive. Bigger was better. I was making double my salary in just overtime so I had cash to burn.
I'm looking for different ideas on how and where to drill and route wires and such for lights, GPS antenna etc. I have a roof rack that will not be a permanent fixture and will come off at times so anything attached will need to disconnected. Thanks in advance
Mine wasn't leaky but it was so badly gunked up inside that there was still standing water inside. I opted to have the core replaced with a high efficiency 4 core. It was cheaper than a replacement radiator and the shop guaranteed the work.
Mine is the Projection so just the single. But take a look at this.

yep just crank it up. My 8 year old likes doing it. It's been windy a few times out but that hasn't bothered it or me it's very sturdy. It's not going fall or flatten out on you. You might get some movement. Mine is mounted on a trailer and when I drop the front and back legs it becomes solid.
I would hit up a couple of custom muffler shops let them throw it up on the rack and have a look. You would be surprised what those guys can do. If nothing else it gives you a few more ideas.

There are times I wished I had kept my 2F. If you are doing it for fuel economy I would say don't. You could take what you are going to spend on the conversion and use that...
